Suzuki boat engine DF4A

Description

In 2016, Suzuki introduced new models of SUZUKI DF6A, DF5A, DF4A engines.
The previously popular DF4,5,6 series engines were transformed into lightweight and compact DF4A,5A,6A models with excellent maneuverability.
The main principles and goals when making changes are “reliability”, “light weight” and “ease of use”.

The main changes in the new models:

– The engine design has been significantly changed, it has become possible to store and transport the engine on either side, the brand color of the engine has also changed.
– In addition to the updated appearance, the new engines are distinguished by the smallest weight – 23.5 kg (model with a standard S deadwood). Due to its light weight, the engine is easy to use and carry.
– Another lubrication channel has been added to the engine lubrication system, going to the upper and lower bearing of the crankshaft and connecting rod.
– The reliability of the lubrication system is increased by the oil filter used for the first time in this class of motors.
– Increased engine efficiency – the crankshaft is slightly offset from the center of the cylinder.
– The new engine lift system in the motors allows you to fix the shallow water driving mode lever in several positions.
– The improved tiller handle absorbs vibration (vibration causes inconvenience and fatigue when operating the motor).
– Due to the fact that the pallet has a step and an integrated handle, the motor is now comfortable to hold with both hands.
– To effectively combat corrosion, a coating with a special formula is used, which is applied directly to the aluminum alloy, which ensures maximum bonding of metal and coating.
Modern Suzuki outboard motors are developed taking into account the requirements and wishes of real users. 4-stroke Suzuki outboard motors are designed in such a way as to simplify their daily use as much as possible.
